Bathing and Day Spa Services
 Petropolis Park’s
bathing and spa services provide clients with another time saving
alternative for maintaining a healthy, happy pet. The state-of-the-art
HydroSurge® bathing system is used, a treatment not offered by any of the
other Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale daycare or boarding facilities. The unique HydroSurge® system produces a vigorous, penetrating, combing action spray of
shampoo and water through a hand held sprayer. The bathing solution
penetrates through the hair and down to the skin to flush away dirt, debris,
loose hair, dead skin and/or dander for the healthiest skin possible.
Dogs
love the massage like invigorating sensation. HydroSurge® bathing is also
an effective aid in the treatment of seborrheas, pyodermas and allergies
which can cause dry, flaking, itching, irritated, oily and/or infected skin.
Petropolis Park uses only natural shampoos. or owners can bring their
own shampoo. In addition, clients may book a flea and tick bath, an oatmeal
and hypo-allergenic bath, or a Chlorhexiderm medicated bath. Other spa
services include nail trim and file, ear cleaning, anal glands expressed,
fluff dry and brush out. Owners preferring to bathe their own dogs may do
so, but only outdoors with the supplemental equipment provided during “The
K9O Cabana Swim Club” weekend sessions.
A mandatory bath for all boarding canine guests is given prior to
checkout. This is done for the owner’s protection as well as our own.
The bathing and drying process includes a detailed inspection. This insures
that dogs leaving Petropolis Park are in the same, if not better, condition
than when they were brought in. The additional bathing fee charged at checkout is waived for dogs boarding five or more nights.
No breed cuts, styling or professional grooming is offered at this time.
