Sleepovers

Dogs are gregarious by nature and, for the most part, have excellent social skills. They thrive when allowed to frolic and play with each other. When boarding and being away from home, the company of other dogs helps diminish their anxiety. Freed from the confines of their crates and leashes, and interacting with one another, they flourish. Sleepovers at Petropolis Park are like a dog “paw-jama party”—the dogs snuggling up with their daytime buddies on luxury beds set out in the evening, converting the playroom areas into slumber party rooms.

A staff member also stays on the premises overnight, so the dogs are never left alone. Moreover, to ensure a comfortable and relaxed visit, Petropolis Park’s policy is that any new clients requiring overnight boarding for their dog(s), must have participated in a trial day (or days) of daycare earlier that same month. This ensures that your dog is familiar with the dogs in our “pack” as well as the facility’s environment and our routines. Constant human touch, a homey environment, and the finest luxury beds to choose from are also fundamental to sleepovers at Petropolis Park.

Boarding dogs are fed twice daily: typically, in the morning between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., and again in the evening at the same hour—but we are happy to accommodate individual needs. We prefer our dog guests to eat the same food they’re used to being served at home; therefore, we ask that you bring an ample supply of your dog’s food with you. Keeping the dogs on the same diet and routine while boarding helps to eliminate digestive problems during their stay which, in turn, maintains their health. In the event you do not or cannot provide the food, we will happily serve your dog a premium-quality dry food. Each dog is fed separately for its own comfort and safety.

To see the dogs together—either in playful moods or totally relaxed (exhausted!) and asleep side-by-side—and to witness the friendships developed in our facility, is to understand the humanity of our social boarding approach. Admittedly, this open concept is not suitable for all dogs, and in the interest of overall harmony, dogs with aggressive tendencies are not allowed. However, for those dogs with a neighborly disposition, there is no better environment for their physical and emotional well-being when away from home.

Private Suites

For those pet parents who may want more privacy for their dog and extra amenities during their stay, we offer two exclusive suites. The first measures 5’x8’ and is suitable for one medium/large dog or two small dogs. The larger, 7’x8’ “Family Suite” is intended for multi-dog households. Each  suite features an elegant, wrought-iron bed with a top-of-the-line “SSS PetCare Pillow-Top” orthopedic, coil-spring mattress that mimic the same quality standards you’re used to. An area rug, mood lighting, wall-mounted fan, slate floors, textured walls with framed artwork, individual audio music system, and a filled-to-the-rim doggie toy chest make this a very exclusive den for your pampered pet.
